There's a second pandemic no one's talking about at all. Besides COVID-19, a cyber pandemic shows no signs of slowing down or going away. As more and more people had to work remotely, remote work went from a necessity for survival as time went on to a new option.
3 Easy Tips on Cyber-Hygiene
The more we rely on our devices, the more vital it becomes to keep them safe and secure all sensitive information. Here are three tips on cyber-hygiene, ensuring you stay safe out there in the cyber-world:
1. Enable Your Multi-Factor Authentication
A good rule of thumb is, whenever possible, to enable your MFAs. These password-less pieces of tech make it easier for you to sign in to everything you need but are tricky for hackers to breach. MFA or 2FA is usually an app on a device that gives a code good for 30 seconds, which helps to verify your identity.
2. Monitor Access
On top of using MFAs, it's a good idea to keep all your passwords for any accounts secure, meaning don't share passwords. This monitoring routine ensures that every login information doesn't fall into the wrong hands.
3. Update All Devices
Simple and easy, update all devices and double-check items and all pieces of software are working correctly. It's just that easy: update, update, update!
