Hollywood and the Film Industry are Beginning to take a Strong Liking to Blockchain Technology

Thanks to many traditional type businesses, blockchain technology is beginning to make an impression on Hollywood and the wider film industry. As luck would have it, this isn't limited to television and movies. The music industry is also becoming engulfed in the entertainment sector's newfound love for blockchain technology.

A great example of these changing tastes is the new film "Fuzzy Head," which is making its debut later this year at the Slamdance Film Festival, an Oscar-accredited film festival for independent filmmakers. This new film is unique because its production was all thanks to Untold.io, a blockchain crowdfunding platform.

One of Untold.io's representatives shares that "the most crucial part of crypto and blockchain integrations in the film business will be increasing fan interaction through NFTs and opening up a new asset class to all sorts of investors via compliant security tokens."

Another notable movie, "The Comeback Trail," stars Hollywood icons Robert De Niro and Morgan Freeman and gained financial support from this website.

However, this isn't the first time a movie production team used cryptocurrency and blockchain technology to garner funds. In 2019, reps from Filmio, a blockchain platform, went to the Sundance Film Festival to explore possible ideas for the blockchain-based entertainment platform they are developing.
